250 grams of dried lentils, 400 grams of peeled tomatoes, celery, enough, 2 cloves of garlic, enough water, salt to taste, extra virgin olive oil, enough, 1 red pepper.
Put a couple of tablespoons of oil in a saucepan. Add the garlic deprived of the soul and coarsely chopped. Light the fire and fry it. Clean the edge of a celery, chop it and add it to the fried garlic. When the garlic is browned, add the peeled tomatoes. Add a few leaves of celery and finally the lentils (previously soaked if necessary). Add the water so that it is at least 4 fingers above the lentils. Salt. Cover but not completely with a lid and cook over low heat until the lentils are cooked. Serve hot with toasted bread and chopped chilli to taste.
