Recipe Orange Cake

ingredients:

For the cake: 3 eggs, 150 grams of sugar, 80 ml orange juice, 1 orange grated rind, 80 ml sunflower oil, 200 grams flour, 1 packet of 16 grams yeast, icing sugar and 1 slice of orange to garnish. For the cream: 200 ml orange juice, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour, drops of orange essence.





Recipe:

We begin to prepare our orange cake: in a bowl we break the eggs and add the sugar. Let's start mixing with the electric mixer, add the grated peel of an orange and its juice (about 80 ml). Pour the seed oil and begin to incorporate the flour a little at a time. Finally we combine a packet of yeast. Pour the mixture into a 24 cm diameter cake pan with the bottom lined with parchment paper. Bake at 165 ° with the fan oven, or at 175 ° with the static oven. In both cases the cooking time is 35-40 minutes. Once cooked, let the cake cool and remove it from the mold to place it on a plate. Cut in half for the long and prepare to garnish. In a saucepan, pour the sugar and flour, mix with a whisk and pour the orange juice until you obtain a homogeneous mixture. Then pour a few drops of orange essence. We bring on the fire and mix to thicken, it will take about 2 minutes. Pour the cream on the base of the cake and cover with the other half of the cake. We place a slice of orange in the center of the cake and sprinkle with plenty of icing sugar. We wait for the cream to cool and we can serve the soft orange cake.
