Recipe Strudel

ingredients:

250 grams of apple, 30 grams of toasted hazelnuts, 20 grams of toasted pine nuts, 20 grams of raisins, 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, ready-made puff pastry, cinnamon, toasted breadcrumbs. For the icing: 2 tablespoons of rum, 4 tablespoons of water, 6 tablespoons of icing sugar.





Recipe:

In a large bowl we put the apple cut into small pieces, the hazelnuts, the pine nuts, the raisins previously soaked for about 15 minutes, the granulated sugar and mix well. Take the puff pastry and pour all the ingredients in the center. Add cinnamon to taste and toasted breadcrumbs. We close the puff pastry by brushing the edges with water so that it acts as a glue. We then lay our strudel on baking sheet covered with parchment paper and with a scissor we make incisions 3-4 cm away from each other in order to let the steam escape. Bake at 200 degrees for 15 minutes and then lower to 180 degrees until golden brown. Meanwhile, prepare the icing by placing the rum, water and icing sugar in a bowl and stir until the desired consistency is achieved. Apply it when the strudel is still warm.
